Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 17, 2026

ReMed is designed to help people organize medicine routines while keeping their information private and under their control.

Information ReMed handles

When you create an account, ReMed stores your email address, an internal account identifier, and any display name you choose. To provide medicine reminders and cloud backup, ReMed also stores the information you enter, including medicine names, dose details, instructions, schedules, reminder preferences, stock and refill details, and dose history.

This information is linked to your ReMed account and is used only to provide the app's account, synchronization, reminder, and history features. ReMed does not sell this information or use it for advertising.

Storage and security

Account and medicine data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections and stored on ReMed's self-hosted infrastructure in Germany. Passwords are handled by the authentication service and are stored only as password hashes, not as plain text. A local copy of app data is kept on your device so the app can continue to show your schedule and create local reminders.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. ReMed limits access to production systems and uses database access controls, firewall rules, and encrypted transport to reduce risk.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, ReMed asks your device to deliver local medicine reminders. Notification scheduling and delivery are performed by your device. You can change notification permission at any time in iOS or Android settings.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

ReMed does not include third-party advertising, behavioral analytics, cross-app tracking, or data-broker integrations.

Data retention and deletion

Your account data is retained while your ReMed account is active. You can delete your account from ReMed's account settings. Account deletion removes the active account and its associated cloud medicine data. Data may remain in encrypted or access-controlled backups for up to 14 days before automatic expiry, unless a longer period is required for security or legal reasons.

Removing the app does not by itself delete your cloud account. After account deletion, local app data is cleared from the device as part of the deletion flow.

Children

ReMed is not specifically directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Medical disclaimer

ReMed is a reminder and organization tool, not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, dosage recommendations, drug-interaction checks, or emergency services. Always follow instructions from your doctor, pharmacist, or medicine label. Do not rely on ReMed as the only way to manage a time-critical treatment.

Changes to this policy

If ReMed's data practices change, this policy and the applicable store privacy disclosures will be updated before the affected version is released.
